A Circularly Polarized Transmitarray Antenna Element with Polarization Selection Characteristic
In this paper, a circularly polarized transmitarray antenna element based on rotating phase compensation is proposed. Due to the polarization selectivity of the proposed element, it can realize the transmission of the right-handed circular polarization (RHCP) incidence and the reflection of the left-handed circular polarization (LHCP) incidence. Meanwhile, continuous 360° phase compensation is generated by changing the transmitting patch rotation angle. This element has a good potential for millimeter-wave satellite communication systems applications because of its advantages of less metal layers, low profile ($0.15 \lambda_{0}$), simple structure and easy integration.
