Design and Fabrication of a 3D Printed Double-layered 1THz All-dielectric Transmitarray

A 3D printed all-dielectric transmitarray operating at 1 THz is proposed. The transmitarray consists of $11 \times 11$ double-layered dielectric block elements. The phase of the incident electromagnetic wave from the feed source can be changed by controlling the height variation of the elements, so as to obtain a high-gain outgoing beam. Simulation results show a maximum gain of 20.9 dBi at 1 THz and an aperture efficiency of $\mathbf{7 2 . 4 \%}$ for the proposed structure.

Abstract

A 3D printed all-dielectric transmitarray operating at 1 THz is proposed. The transmitarray consists of $11 \times 11$ double-layered dielectric block elements. The phase of the incident electromagnetic wave from the feed source can be changed by controlling the height variation of the elements, so as to obtain a high-gain outgoing beam. Simulation results show a maximum gain of 20.9 dBi at 1 THz and an aperture efficiency of $\mathbf{7 2 . 4 \%}$ for the proposed structure.
