ELECTRODYNAMIC MODELING OF A PLANAR ANTENNA SYSTEM FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
In this paper, the development and study of the electrodynamic characteristics of a planar patch antenna with a power divider for wireless telecommunications was carried out. It was revealed that planar patch antennas proved to be competitive for use in wireless telecommunication systems. The results of modeling the patch antenna showed that with the correct selection of the size and type of substrate, this antenna exhibits broadband properties and can be used in wireless 5G technologies. The simulation results showed that such an antenna is capable of operating in the most common modern cellular communication standards. A new antenna array design has been proposed, which consists of 36 symmetrical radiators. The proposed new design of a flat patch antenna with a power divider allows for the effective summation of signals from individual antennas (groups of antennas) that make up an antenna array and, accordingly, the distribution of the transmitter signal between them. Secondly, planar antennas are highly secure due to the absence of protruding elements. Reducing the width of the substrate leads to a noticeable shift of resonant frequencies to the right for all frequency ranges; the shift is especially significant for the fourth (highest frequency) range. The bandwidth also increases significantly. Experimental studies of the electrodynamic characteristics of a planar antenna with a power divider have shown that the experimental and simulation results are in good agreement.
