ESTIMATION OF ATOMIC PROPERTIES OF TEN-ELECTRON SYSTEMS FOR NEON ATOM AND LIKE IONS

Atomic physics is an important discipline because of its significant role in studying the properties of chemical elements and ions related to daily life, industry, research and health. Therefore, the atomic properties were carefully studied in atoms and ions for ten-electron systems configuration (Ne, Na+1,Mg+2,Al+3), where MathCad 2014 was used to program a set of equations using the Hartree -Fock approximation for subatomic shells (1s 2s 2p). The atomic properties of these shells were calculated, and the expected values of a single electron hr n 12i and the distance between two electrons r12n for different values of n{−2 ≤ n ≤ 2} were calculated. The expected values of the attractive potential energies of the electron and the nucleus <Ven>, the repulsive potential energies of two electrons <Vee>, the kinetic energy <T>, the potential energy <V>, and the total energy <E> were calculated, and the values were (127.5461, 160.4920, 197.4479, 238.3486) respectively. Note that all functions are standard and all calculations are done using atomic units. To our knowledge, this new paper presents the first attempt to deal with ten electrons, study their presence in each shell and compare the values obtained with existing studies on this topic, which is important in many applications of physics and chemistry.
