Development and implementation of an app for blood pressure classification of childhood obesity patients in an university hospital

Objective: Development and implementation of an app developed for software in a reference hospital that allows for the simple and effective classification of blood pressure in children. Method: The frequency of hypertension was evaluated before and after the implementation of the app. Results: Hypertension was found in 12% cases. Few blood pressure records were identified before the implementation of the app. After its implementation, there was an increase in the classification of patients' blood pressure as high blood pressure and hypertension, in addition to a reduction in classification errors and measurement omissions. Conclusion: This app helped to improve the classification of blood pressure in the patients evaluated.
