A Intellectual procedure of the advanced stochastic imperfections method of single layer Kewitte latticed spherical shell

In order to study the calculation sample size of the random defect method for the Kaiweite single-layer spherical shell, based on the improved random defect method, an intelligent program was embedded in the calculation program of the Kaiweite single-layer spherical shell using Ansys' parameterized design language APDL. By systematically performing single and double nonlinear calculations on the Kaiweite single-layer spherical shell, the calculation sample size of the random defect method was studied; By calculating spherical mesh shells with different spans, aspect ratios, section types, and initial defects, the factors affecting the sample size for calculation are studied. When the calculated critical load conforms to a certain distribution and the result is constant, it is considered that the sample size at this time can reflect the distribution law of the critical load, and the calculation can be stopped at this time. The number of calculation samples controlled by the program is the minimum number of calculation samples for the random defect method. The calculation results indicate that the sample size of the random defect method is relatively constant, generally between 55-60. The intelligent control program reduces the number of calculations in the random defect method to a minimum, greatly saving the calculation time of the random defect method. At the same time, it lays the foundation for large-scale parametric analysis and enables the random defect method to be better applied in engineering practice.
