Overview of the image reconstruction based on the event camera
Event camera is a new type of bionic vision sensor, when the brightness of pixels exceeds the threshold, will output a series of event letters. This kind of vision sensor asynchronous output pixel coordinates, time stamps, and the polarity of events, so it has the characteristics of low latency, low power consumption, high time resolution, and high dynamic range. It is able to capture information in high-speed motion and high dynamic scenes, which can be used to reconstruct high dynamic range and high-speed motion scenes. After image reconstruction, it can be applied in object recognition, segmentation, tracking and optical flow estimation, which is one of the important research directions in the field of vision. This article starts from the event camera, the first briefly describes the current situation, development process, advantages and challenges of the event camera, then introduces the working principle of various types of event camera and some image reconstruction algorithms based on the event camera, and finally expounds the challenges and future trends of the event camera, and summarizes the article.
