The purpose of the article is to study cleavages and polycrisis in the Republic of Bulgaria. The causes of social stratification have been investigated, the activities of parties representing different political forces, permanent election campaigns, the struggle for power, which together caused the current political crisis in the state. Bulgaria is experiencing difficult political changes, instability, and uncertainty. A series of caretaker governments, seven early parliamentary elections, presidential and local elections have led to the politicization of every social issue, for the sake of winning the elections. During the period of democratization, new parties emerged in the country, which radically changed the configuration of the party system, actors, and voters. Bulgarians are tired of the election race and are reducing voter turnout. Besides, many other pressing issues are affecting political uncertainty (political, economic, social, environmental, etc.), which together form a polycrisis. The article uses statistical, comparative, monitoring methods, systemic and functional methodological approaches.
