The Consolidation Model and Numerical Calculation for Dredged Slurry Considering the Degradation of Straw Drain body under negative pressure

In order to deal with the large amount of high water content dredging slurry produced annually in China's ports, waterways and coastal areas, an innovative dredged slurry treatment method was proposed in this paper, that is, the use of straw preparation into horizontal drainage water and vacuum precompression technology. The model test verifies the feasibility of this method. The sediment settlement calculated by the model is consistent with the measured value, although there are some differences due to vacuum fluctuation, high moisture content error and space difference. The modes of excess pore water pressure dissipation of double-layer and single-layer straw drain bodies were compared, and it was found that although the modes were different, they were symmetrical along the dredged slurry line and slightly different under the influence of dredged slurry gravity stress. When considering the self-weight stress of dredged slurry, the reinforcement effect of single-layer straw drain body is better, and the construction is simpler and the cost is lower. This study provides a new solution for the efficient and environmentally friendly treatment of dredged slurry, and is expected to contribute to the sustainable development of water conservancy and water environment treatment projects.
