Design and Implementation of an FPGA-Based 10G Optical Fiber Interface Reflective Memory Card
To address the sharp increase in real-time data exchange volumes between nodes in real-time distributed systems, this paper designs and implements a 10G optical fiber interface reflective memory card. The paper provides a detailed explanation of the hardware design and firmware programming for the 10G optical fiber interface reflective memory card, and a physical prototype has been developed. To verify the rationality and practicality of the design, a series of experimental studies were conducted on the key performance indicators of the 10G optical fiber interface reflective memory card. Factors affecting data forwarding delay were analyzed, and potential optimization approaches were proposed. Additionally, the relationship between effective data bit length and data transmission rate, the length of data frames and average data forwarding time, as well as the overall transmission rate and bit error rate, was examined. Test results show that the 10G optical fiber interface reflective memory card, based on FPGA, exhibits high signal integrity in the 10G optical fiber interface hardware link; the data forwarding processing delay can be controlled within 794 to 838 nanoseconds; it operates stably at data transmission rates from 550MB/s to 660MB/s for 48 hours, maintaining low data forwarding delay and light bandwidth load throughout the process. This effectively meets the demand for efficient data exchange real-time distributed systems.
