Research on the design strategy of an age-appropriate emotional companion virtual digital human service system based on the Kano model
With the increasing aging population, the demand for emotional companionship among the elderly is growing. As an emerging technological solution, virtual digital humans have shown great potential in providing emotional support. This study introduces the Kano model to analyze the functional needs of elderly users for virtual digital human services, identifying basic, performance, and excitement needs. Based on these findings, corresponding design strategies are proposed. The research ultimately develops a design strategy for an emotional companionship virtual digital human system tailored to elderly users, aimed at enhancing their satisfaction and user experience, while providing a reference for future virtual service design and development.
