OS DILEMAS EXISTENTES NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL: DESAFIOS E PRÁTICAS DA DOCÊNCIA EM UMA ESCOLA PÚBLICA DE BOM JESUS–PI

This is research into the dilemmas and challenges faced by professionals in Early Childhood Education. The proposed research problem was: what are the challenges in the pedagogical practice of Early Childhood Education teachers in a public school in Bom Jesus–PI? The general objective of the research was to analyze the challenges that exist in the pedagogical practice of Early Childhood Education teachers, in a public school in Jesus–PI. The specific objectives defined were: a) to understand the pedagogical practice of Early Childhood Education teachers at a public school in Bom Jesus–PI; b) identify the challenges for pedagogical practice in Early Childhood Education; and c) report the teachers' narratives about the existing challenges for pedagogical practice in Early Childhood Education. The research is theoretically based on the thoughts of Oliveira (2011), Kramer (1997, 2002) and Contreras (2002), among others. Narrative research was used with a qualitative approach. As an instrument for constructing the data, the memorial was used and, for data analysis, interpretative analysis. The results obtained revealed significant gaps, such as the lack of adequate training for teachers, the lack of recognition and appreciation of their work and limited teaching autonomy, highlighting important areas for intervention and improvement in the educational system.
