Synthesis and optical properties of novel Tm3+ doped Gd3BWO9 blue phosphors
Abstract The synthesis of blue luminous phosphors doped with Tm 3+ and Gd 3 BWO 9 was achieved using a high-temperature solid-state process. Their degree of purity and optical characteristics were extensively examined. Results indicated an optimal Tm 3+ doping concentration of 0.05 mol. Electro-multipolar interactions were deemed the mechanism behind concentration quenching in Gd 3 BWO 9 materials. Additionally, Gd 3 BWO 9 :0.02Tm 3+ exhibits blue fluorescence with color coordinates (0.1727, 0.0832), suggesting its suitability as a blue component in w-LED fabrication.
