Study on the properties of PLA/PBAT/MMT composite materials modified with silane coupling agent KH570
Abstract With the increasing attention to environmental protection and sustainable development, biodegradable plastics have become a research hotspot. PLA (polylactic acid) and PBAT (polybutylene terephthalate adipate) are two widely used biodegradable polymers, but their individual use is limited by performance defects, which restrict their application scope. To prepare high-performance PLA and PBAT composites, this study used montmorillonite (MMT) as a reinforcing filler, silane coupling agent KH570 as a surface modifier, and chain extender ADR-4468 as a compatibilizer to investigate the comprehensive properties of PLA/PBAT composites. Through research, it was found that when the addition amount of silane coupling agent KH570 is 0.75% of the filler, the comprehensive performance of the composite material is optimal, with a tensile strength of 17 MPa, elongation at break of 20.75%, bending strength of 369.06 MPa, bending modulus of 4, 269.90 MPa, notch impact strength of 4.5 kJ/m 2 , and melt flow rate of 17 g/10 min. A biodegradable composite material with good processing and mechanical properties is prepared.
