Design of asymmetric quasi-zero stiffness mechanical metamaterial vibration isolators
Abstract In order to improve the vibration isolation of precision optical equipment under low-frequency excitation, an asymmetric quasi-zero stiffness (QZS) mechanical metamaterial model is designed and analyzed in this paper. The model is characterized by an asymmetric QZS property of the structure under vertical loading. The structure consists of four beam structures arranged in parallel by rotating a trigonometric curve around an axis to form a spatial beam structure. The structure is first optimized, and its static characteristics are analyzed by finite element analysis. Then, based on static analysis, the structure dynamics are analyzed theoretically. The finite element is used to analyze the structure’s time-domain response under excitation, study the vibration isolation performance of the asymmetric QZS mechanical metamaterials, and compare the theoretical results. The simulation results of the transmission rate are in good agreement with the theoretical results. It is verified that the structure proposed in this paper has better low-frequency vibration isolation performance.
