Microstructures and properties optimization of Co-Ni based superalloy manufactured by direct laser energy deposition laser process
Abstract Superalloy is widely used in the hot-section parts of the aero-engines due to its excellent performance at elevated temperatures. In this paper, a new Co-Ni based superalloy was designed and printed using direct laser energy deposition (DLED), and 17 groups of depositions with different process parameters were set. This paper discusses the effects of process parameters on the deposition metals’ morphologies, microstructures, and mechanical properties, and figures out the process parameter for the DLED formation of Co-Ni based superalloy, with the best microstructure quality and mechanical properties.
