A IMPORTÂNCIA DOS CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAGEM NA SÍFILIS GESTACIONAL
Objective: To describe the relevance of nursing care for pregnant women with syphilis. Methods: This study consists of an integrative literature review with a descriptive approach and a qualitative approach with the aim of describing the relevance of nursing care for pregnant women with syphilis. The terms “syphilis” and “nursing care” and “pregnant woman” were used, using the Boolean operators AND. Results: 27 articles were analyzed and 10 selected to compose the results of this work through the virtual health library in the lilacs and bdenf - nursing databases, Google Scholar and Scielo. Full articles were selected from 2014 to 2024. Incomplete articles, those that did not match the theme in question, duplicate articles and those in a foreign language were excluded. Final considerations: Nursing plays an essential role in the prevention and treatment of syphilis, through care actions. Guidance is needed for pregnant women on the importance of serological testing, even in the absence of symptoms, sexual activity and prenatal care. Professional training is essential to ensure that the management of gestational syphilis is appropriate, that professionals are able to interpret rapid tests and laboratory exams, and that the therapeutic approach is followed.
