MATEMÁTICA E GAMIFICAÇÃO: O IMPACTO DOS JOGOS DIGITAIS E ANALÓGICOS NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DO PENSAMENTO ALGÉBRICO

This study analyzes the impacts of gamification in mathematics education, emphasizing the benefits, challenges, and pedagogical strategies associated with its implementation. The objective is to assess how the integration of digital and analog games contributes to student engagement, knowledge retention, and personalized learning. To achieve this, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, consisting of a systematic literature review and secondary field research, analyzing institutional reports and academic studies published between 2022 and 2025. The findings indicate that gamification significantly enhances student engagement, resulting in an average 20% increase in participation and a 15% improvement in mathematical proficiency in institutions that apply gamified methodologies. Interactivity and immediate feedback provided by games emerge as fundamental elements for the assimilation of mathematical concepts and the development of logical-mathematical skills. However, structural challenges persist, such as unequal access to educational technologies and the need for specific teacher training, highlighting the urgency of investments in digital infrastructure and professional development. Beyond academic gains, gamification has been found to foster socio-emotional competencies, including resilience, critical thinking, and autonomy in problem-solving. The results lead to the conclusion that gamification constitutes an innovative and effective approach to mathematics education, provided its implementation is strategically planned and supported by inclusive educational policies. This research contributes to the debate on active methodologies, highlighting gamification as a promising resource to make mathematics learning more dynamic, interactive, and accessible.
