Malformazione polmonare congenita (CPAM) tipo 1 con macrocisti.
Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformations (CPAM) are rare lung development anomalies characterised by varying-sized cysts. The majority of affected newborns are asymptomatic at birth, while a small percentage may experience respiratory difficulties. By analysing a clinical case, the article describes the comprehensive management of Type I CPAM with macrocysts and emphasises the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in treating this condition. The intervention involved prenatal drainage of the microcyst in EXIT (Ex Utero Intrapartum Therapy), followed by postnatal thoracoscopic lobectomy.
