The article presents our own clinical observation of the features of the diagnosis andtreatment of severe necrotizing retinovasculitis in a 20-year-old patient with an undiagnosedherpesvirus infection. An extended examination helped to determine the etiology of thedisease. The dynamics of the disease and the results of follow-up for 3 months afterinpatient treatment are presented. The treatment made it possible to stop the infectiousprocess without surgery and significantly improved visual functions.
