LAND INSURANCE AGENTS: SOCIAL COMPOSITION, EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The article considers the institution of zemstvo insurance agents, analyses their role in the organisation and conduct of insurance operations, as well as the contribution of zemstvo insurance agents to the development of insurance in Russia. Particular attention is paid to the social composition of zemstvo insurance agents, their professional duties and functions, which allowed us to assess the effectiveness of this institution and its impact on the system of zemstvo insurance.
