THROUGH THE RUINS TO A DEAD END: THE CREATIVE LIFE OF SAMARA ARTISTS IN THE POST-WAR PERIOD (1946-1953S)
The article explores the activities of the Kuibyshev branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (KSSH) in the post-war period (1946-1953), focusing on the problems faced by the artistic community at that time. Despite attempts at reform, the KSSH found itself in a critical situation due to a lack of resources, lack of proper support from the authorities, lack of exhibition space and aging staff. This led to a decrease in the quality of work, lagging behind other regions and an unsatisfactory creative climate in Kuibyshev. As a result, by 1953, the KSSH had not been able to overcome the current crisis.
