Out of the Blue: An ignored theory of electricity proposed by Benjamin Lesvios
In the eighteenth century, the study of electricity gradually transitioned from an exploratory-experimental approach to a more formal and mathematical one, spurred on by a growing number of precise experimental results and the development of necessary mathematical tools. Existing theories of electricity were based on the concept of an electrical fluid. Although not conclusively defined, various properties were attributed to this fluid, as hypothesized by each theoretical model and understood through the level of available experimental evidence.
