Czeskie komunikaty handlowe w polskim krajobrazie językowym

The purpose of this article is to analyze Czech commercial communications occurring in polish border towns – Chałupki, Krzyżanowice, Zabełków and in the urban space of city of Racibórz. Czech signs in Polish border communities will be analyzed on the basis of empirical materials obtained during empirical research conducted from March to August 2024. The subject of the empiric research was both written and audio linguistic communications in which the Czech language appears. Most of the research material consists of communications located in public places (street, market, store). Communications belong to a permanent element of public space. They are especially visible in the urban landscape, where they can be represented in a form of a billboard, signboard or poster. The communications are adapted to the linguistic demands of the local community, which is why multilingual content is encountered in borderland regions.
