High‐Performance Dynamic Photo‐Responsive Polymers With Superior Closed‐Loop Recyclability (Adv. Funct. Mater. 8/2025)
Photo-Responsive Polymers In article number 2414842, Cheol-Hee Ahn, Tae Ann Kim, and co-workers present innovative stimuli-responsive dynamic polymers that contribute to a sustainable polymer economy. By utilizing thermodynamic equilibrium and dynamic chemistry, they demonstrate catalyst-driven, reversible polymerization and depolymerization of cyclopentene-based polymers, which exhibit damage-reporting, self-healing, and advanced shape programming capabilities. This development opens up new horizons for expanding the range of applications for reusable polymer materials.
