Cover Feature: The Configuration Identification of Guanine Molecules Adsorbed on the Si(100) Surface by Using XPS Shake‐up Satellites and NEXAFS (ChemPhysChem 20/2024)
The Cover Feature illustrates how soft X-rays can serve as molecular fingerprints for the adsorption configurations of guanine molecules anchored on Si(100) surface. NEXAFS is more sensitive to changes in adsorption configurations than XPS Shak-up satellites, and its first characteristic peak in the low-energy region can distinguish the chemical bonds at the interface of these adsorption configurations.
