A Regression-Based Approach to Explore Tourism and Hospitality Trends in the UAE Hotel Sector
Amid shifting global travel trends, the UAE has strategically diversified its economy by expanding its tourism sector. This paper offers a comprehensive analysis of the factors driving hotel operations and profitability in the region, focusing on how fluctuations in tourist arrivals shape market dynamics. Using regression analysis, we explore the relationships between tourist arrivals, economic indicators like interest and inflation rates, and the pricing strategies of 3-star hotels. While luxury and business travel has surged, the 3-star segment plays a vital role by offering affordable, high-quality accommodations to a broader audience. This research emphasizes the importance of strategic management practices, such as demand forecasting, capacity management, and dynamic pricing, in optimizing resources and enhancing service in a competitive market. Our findings suggest actionable strategies for improving operational efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainable growth in the UAE's evolving tourism landscape.
