Green Finance on Islamic Financial Markets: A Sustainable Approach to Growth
The intersection of green finance and Islamic financial markets offers significant potential for promoting sustainable economic growth, especially as environmental and social concerns gain prominence globally. This paper examines the alignment between green finance, which focuses on investments that advance environmental sustainability, and the ethical foundations of Islamic finance, which advocate responsible resource management. By exploring the integration of sustainability principles in Islamic finance, assessing regulatory frameworks, and presenting case studies of successful green projects funded through Islamic mechanisms, this study highlights the opportunities and challenges within these markets. Ultimately, it aims to demonstrate how Islamic green finance can drive sustainable development while adhering to Shariah principles, contributing to a more inclusive and environmentally responsible financial ecosystem.
