A Systematic Literature Review of Audio Signal Processing Methods for Infant Cry Recognition and Interpretation
This study reviews audio feature extraction methods for infant cry analysis, crucial for early neonatal diagnosis. It examines 28 articles from 2020 to 2024, selected through a structured search across multiple digital libraries. While methods like MFCCs are widely used, combining techniques improves accuracy in cry classification. The review highlights the need for more robust, noise-resistant approaches and calls for further research to enhance cry recognition systems for better infant care.
