Analysis of Viral Spread of Pop Culture Based on the SEIR Model
This paper constructs a predictive model for the spread of pop culture, analogous to the infectious disease transmission dynamics, based on the SEIR model, to analyze the viral dissemination of pop culture phenomena in the digital era. As digital technology advances, the patterns and impact of pop culture dissemination have become a focal point of interest for scholars across various disciplines. Traditional research methods have limitations in quantifying these phenomena; hence, the SEIR model offers an innovative analytical perspective. Originally designed for modeling the spread of infectious diseases, the SEIR model is equally applicable to the analysis of pop culture dissemination. This study aims to explore the application of the SEIR model in analyzing the spread of pop culture, to investigate the characteristics that emerge during different stages of cultural transmission, and to evaluate its applicability. By establishing a theoretical framework, this paper applies an epidemiological model to the field of social science and verifies the effectiveness of the SEIR model through empirical research. The research is expected to provide a new perspective for understanding the mechanisms of pop culture dissemination and to offer valuable tools and insights for researchers and practitioners in related fields.
