Investigation of high-power green light generation technology utilizing femtosecond pulse pumping

We present the experimental construction of a 1030 nm high-power femtosecond pulsed laser system, utilizing a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) for passive mode-locking. By combining cascaded fiber amplification with pulse compression, we generated fundamental frequency light with an average power of 9.2 W and a pulse width of 330 fs. Frequency doubling of this light using LBO crystals produced a femtosecond pulse with a central wavelength of 515 nm, a spectral width of 5 nm, and an average power of 3.14 W, corresponding to a maximum pump light conversion efficiency of 34%. The fully polarization-maintaining fiber structure ensured that the relative jitter of the frequencydoubled optical power was as low as 0.9% over a 2-hour period. This system is designed to provide a high-performance and cost-effective solution for optical power generation, characterized by its compact design, good stability, and high average power, making it suitable for applications in chip processing, biomedicine, and other fields.
