Measurement and analysis of simulated lunar regolith geological samples with Raman spectroscopy
Lunar exploration has become an important scientific research field recently. CE-5 mission returned a large number of lunar samples, and it is necessary to find a suitable method to detect and analyze the lunar samples. Laser Raman spectroscopy can realize non-destructive, non-contact, rapid detection and analysis of the mineral composition of outer space samples, and can also provide reliable basic data and key technical support for in-depth understanding of the formation and evolution of outer space celestial bodies such as the moon. In this work, three main components of lunar regolith, feldspar, olivine and pyroxene, were measured and analyzed by Raman spectroscopy using a self-made system. In addition, Raman spectra of their mixture powder samples of different proportion were measured, so as to prepare for the subsequent Raman detection of lunar regolith samples.
