Application of high time-resolution echelle spectrometer in transient spectral testing of energetic materials
In order to thoroughly study and analyze the initiation mechanism, group reactions, detonation performance, and safety of energetic materials in a microscopic scale, a high time-resolution, high spectral resolution, wide-spectrum, parallel real-time echelle spectrometer was designed and achieved, followed by measurements of spectral and time resolution. The experimental results indicates that the designed high time-resolution echelle spectrometer can achieve a resolution of 0.047nm, 0.073nm and 0.078nm under 253.65nm, 546nm and 808nm laser illumination, respectively. It also can effectively respond to a 7ns wide pulse laser. Moreover, time-resolved transient spectra of energetic materials were conducted under laser ablation, demonstrating that this spectrometer has the ability to test the transient spectra of laser ablation at different moment. This provide a technique for understanding the occurrence and development of the transient spectra of laser-ablated energetic materials. Meanwhile, it lay a crucial technical implications for the study of detonation performance, reaction molecular dynamics modeling, safety, and the synthesis of new energetic materials.
