Performance of UWOC system based on composite oceanic turbulence channel
In this paper, the ergodic capacity, outage probability and the average bit error rate performance of underwater wireless optical communication over the generalized gamma fading combined pass loss and pointing error channel are studied. Specifically, the closed-form expressions of the ergodic capacity, outage probability, and the average bit error rate of heterodyne differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) and On-Off keying (OOK) modulated underwater optical wireless communication (UWOC) system are derived with the help of Meijer-G function. Subsequently, based on these expressions, numerical results of UWOC performance are investigated in detail with the influence of turbulence strengths and pointing errors.
