Study of the propagation dynamics of dispersive solutions in nonlinear optical fibers
In this work, we have studied numerically dispersive optical solutions. The numerical schemes adopted are the Runge-Kutta method coupled and the finite difference approach. The studied ultrashort pulse changes its shape and the higher order dispersion distorts the pulse in such a way that it becomes asymmetric with an oscillatory structure close to its fronds. Moreover, during propagation, the oscillation of the envelope is more important, which leads to a broadening of the time spectrum into several peaks. The high order nonlinearity effect leads to the formation of a steep front on the trailing edge of the pulse. The results obtained in this paper show the impact that the dispersive and higher order nonlinear effects have on the propagation of ultrashort pulses in all its importance.
