Multi-Attribute Maintenance Decision Making for Aircraft Engines Based on Entropy Weight TOPSIS Approach
Reasonable maintenance timing plays an important role in determining the efficiency and economic benefits of aircraft-engine utilization. To address the problem of multiple conflicting attributes in maintenance decision-making, this paper constructs a multi-attribute maintenance decision-making model that integrates availability, maintenance cost, and reliability indexes. The entropy weighting method is adopted to calculate the weights of each attribute, and these indexes are combined with the TOPSIS method for a comprehensive evaluation. The optimal maintenance timing of the aircraft-engine is evaluated and selected using the TOPSIS method. Finally, the C-MAPSS dataset is utilized to analyze an example, comparing the single-attribute decision-making model with the proposed multi-attribute decision-making method. This comparison verifies the advantages of the proposed method in terms of rationality and practicality. The results show that the method can effectively balance various maintenance decision attributes and provide a more comprehensive and accurate maintenance decision reference.
