Lumbar Vertebra Radiography With Suspected Lumbar Fracture Two at Dr. Pirngadi Hospital, Medan City

The lumbar vertebrae are the largest vertebrae. Lumbar fractures are fractures that occur in the lower spine area which can be caused by traffic accidents. Fractures of the spine are a trauma that often occurs throughout the world. At least 75% -90% of spinal fractures occur in the thoracic and lumbar regions (thoracalumbar junction). This study aims to determine the examination procedures, radiographic results, and conditions for photographing the Lumbar Vertebrae in Antero Posterior (AP) and Lateral projections with suspected Double Lumbar Vertebra Fracture. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach in the form of a case study. Data collection using observation and documentation methods. The research results showed that there was a fracture of the second lumbar vertebral body which formed kyposis (an abnormality in the spine such as bending), and there was bleeding (suspected hemorrhage) in the spinal cord (spinal cord) of the second lumbar vertebrae using Antero Posterior (AP) and Lateral projections. with Digital Radiographic (DR) film processing at the radiology installation at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) dr. Pirngadi, Medan City. It is best to use a collimation field area that matches the area of the object. The results of this study can be used as a reference and reference in future research related to examining the lumbar spine with various projections
