An exploration of science popularization ethics in China facing the future: Completing an important part of the ethical governance of science and technology
Science popularization (SP) ethics is an indispensable part of the ethical governance of science and technology (S&T). This paper discusses the necessity of developing science popularization ethics in China in the new era and their important role in the construction of the future S&T ethics governance system. We analyse the main problems and challenges facing SP ethics in China and the practice and enlightenment of SP ethics from Western countries. Based on this analysis, we put forward construction strategies and implementation paths for SP ethics in China, aiming to provide support for the improvement of the S&T ethics governance system and complete an important part of that system. By strengthening the construction of SP ethics, we can more effectively promote the social responsibility of S&T achievements, improve the public's understanding and acceptance of science and realize the harmonious integration of S&T and society, thus providing moral guidance and ethical guarantees for China's S&T progress and social development.
