A PAPR suppression algorithm for HPSO-based OFDM systems
In Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems, Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is a major problem that leads to signal distortion and power amplifier efficiency reduction. In order to solve this problem, a selective mapping algorithm based on hierarchical particle swarm optimization (Hierarchical PSO-SLM, HPSO-SLM) is proposed in this paper to reduce the PAPR of OFDM systems. The traditional SLM method selects the optimal signal by introducing different phase sequences, but with high computational complexity. The HPSO-SLM algorithm combines the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and SLM. (PSO) with SLM by gradually optimizing the phase sequences through a hierarchical structure and selecting the particles with better performance to enter the next layer, thus improving the convergence speed of the algorithm while reducing the search space. Simulation results show that HPSO-SLM has better performance in reducing PAPR and is more efficient in terms of actual computational complexity compared with PSO-SLM method and traditional SLM method.
