A Method for HCI Interface Design in Cockpit from a perspective of Crew Error Management
This paper proposed an analysis method for determination of cockpit HCI interface error management design strategies. This method first determines the intended functions of the [crew–cockpit HCI interface design item] system and the corresponding crew function failure modes. Next, it identifies the aircraft-level effects caused by the functional failures of the [crew–cockpit HCI design item]. Then, a crew error management design strategies analysis is conducted, ultimately forming the crew error management design requirements for the specific design item. The application of this method can help aircraft manufacturers gather compliance evidence and then support certification of airworthiness under CS 25.1302.
