Two-dimensional DOA Estimation Algorithm for Multi-Targets of L-shaped Arrays Based on Rotation Angle Matching
When performing two-dimensional DOA estimation using spatial spectrum estimation, the Root-MUSIC algorithm can significantly reduce the computational complexity of the traditional MUSIC algorithm. However, in the scenario of multi-target two-dimensional DOA estimation, the Root-MUSIC algorithm requires the matching of the elevation and azimuth angles of all targets. This paper proposes a two-dimensional DOA estimation algorithm for multi-targets of L-shaped arrays based on rotation angle matching. The algorithm first calculates the products of the cosine and sine of the elevation angles and azimuth angles of all targets using the Root-MUSIC algorithm, and then uses the rotation angle matching method to achieve the correct matching of the elevation and azimuth angles, thereby obtaining the two-dimensional DOA estimation results of all targets. The paper conducts the analysis and simulation verification of the algorithm's effectiveness and makes a comparison with the common subspace projection angle matching method, which proves the high efficiency of this algorithm.
