Comparison of probability density functions for analyzing fluctuations in atmospheric turbulent light intensity
Many probability density functions (pdfs) are used to analyze the light intensity fluctuations. Based on the fiber-coupled receiving system, this paper proposes a dual Johnson \({S}_B\) (DJSB) distribution model, which is a four-parameter distribution based on the Johnson \({S}_B\) (JSB) distribution. The light intensity undulation data are collected by building an experimental platform, and the PDF model is fitted to the experimental data using the least-squares method to compare and analyze the fitting effect with that of the lognormal distribution, Gamma-Gamma distribution. The experimental results demonstrate that the fitting accuracy is higher than 99% using the dual Johnson \({S}_B\) distribution.
