Simulation of Fault Model of High-Speed Train Air Brake System
The air brake system is a crucial component that affects the safe and reliable operation of high-speed trains. During prolonged operation, various faults may occur in the air brake system, posing a threat to the safety of train operation. In actual train systems, multiple pressure sensors are usually installed on the air brake system to detect faults. To study the pressure response of various measurement points under different fault conditions, a simulation model of the air brake system for train faults based on Simulink/Simscape has been proposed. First, a fluid dynamics simulation model of the high-speed train's air brake system was established based on its working principles. Then, based on the fault mechanisms, models for valve faults, sensor faults, and pipeline connection faults in the air brake system were analyzed and created, and simulations of different faults were implemented. The simulation results demonstrate the impact of different faults on the pressure response.
