Parameter-Based Calculation to Regulate Differences in IGBT Parallel Equalization of Currents

In some cases, the performance of a single IGBT cannot meet the design requirements, and the parallel connection technique will bring the problem of uneven flow, which can lead to device damage and other safety issues. This paper proposes a scheme based on parametric calculations and models the circuit structure of two IGBTs in parallel, respectively, and finally verifies the correctness as well as the effectiveness of the scheme by using simplorer simulation for double-pulse testing.

Abstract

In some cases, the performance of a single IGBT cannot meet the design requirements, and the parallel connection technique will bring the problem of uneven flow, which can lead to device damage and other safety issues. This paper proposes a scheme based on parametric calculations and models the circuit structure of two IGBTs in parallel, respectively, and finally verifies the correctness as well as the effectiveness of the scheme by using simplorer simulation for double-pulse testing.
