Analysis of the Market Power Considering Renewable Energy Uncertainty
Market power assessment is a key link in the reform of electricity marketization. With the large-scale integration of renewable energy into the power system, the uncertainty of the electricity market has surged. Due to the uncontrollability of deterministic models to consider the uncertainty characteristics of renewable energy, market power misjudgments occur frequently, seriously threatening the safe operation of the electricity market. To consider the significant impact of renewable energy and load uncertainty on market power, this paper constructs a new model that considers uncertainty in the traditional structural market power evaluation model based on the chance constraint theory. This paper uses IEEE 39-bus systems for simulation calculations, and the simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively analyze the complex relationship between renewable energy uncertainty and market participants' market power, providing an effective means for evaluating the structural market power of the electricity market under the background of renewable energy.
