Multiple Disturbance Suppression for PMSM Based on Super-Twisting Extended State Observer with Periodic Disturbance Compensation
The speed regulation system of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is affected by many kinds of aperiodic and periodic disturbances, which can adversely impact the quality of the speed output of the system. This study employs an extended state observer integrated with super-twisting technology to enhance the ability of the speed regulation system against aperiodic disturbances, which exhibits superior estimation capabilities for disturbances. In addition, in order to reduce the influence of periodic disturbances on the system, a periodic disturbance compensation term based on the internal model principle is connected in series with the super-twisting extended state observer (STESO). The ability of the system to resist aperiodic and periodic disturbances can be significantly improved without increasing the bandwidth of the observer. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively suppress multiple disturbances such as parameter mismatch, load mutation and cogging torque, improving the dynamic and steady performance of the system.
