Quality Assessment: Luminance Distribution Analysis in an Urban Environment
The lack of comprehensive quality assessment of urban lighting results in discrete and unbalanced luminance levels, negatively affecting visual perception for both drivers and pedestrians. This underscores the importance of research aimed at developing methods for a holistic assessment of luminance distribution within the field of view. A methodology was developed for measuring luminance parameters in urban environments by integrating empirical measurements with calculated data, accounting for changes in visual perception under mesopic conditions. The data processing algorithm applies mesopic photometry principles, considering both the spectral characteristics of light sources and shifts in visual spectral sensitivity in low-light conditions.
