Comparative Analysis for CSI, QoS, and Hybrid SIC Based Decoding Order Schemes in NOMA-Assisted MEC Systems
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) emerges as a pivotal technology in 5G networks, primarily due to its dual-core components: Superposition Coding (SC) and Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC). These elements enable the concurrent transmission of signals from multiple users over the same time and frequency. This paper demonstrates a thorough comparative analysis of various SIC order schemes in NOMA systems. The discussed schemes include Quality of Service (QoS) based, Channel State Information (CSI) based and Hybrid SIC schemes. This paper highlights the performance differences of these decoding order schemes in NOMA-MEC systems, as well as their applications. To be specific, the Bit Error Rate vs SNR, The Outage Probability vs SNR and the Sum Data Rate vs SNR are discussed in three different SIC schemes and it was found that Hybrid SIC has better performance.
