An Optimization of Charging Strategy for Electric Buses Based on Dynamic Energy Efficiency

The development of fast charging technology has brought concentrated fast charging loads to the power grid at the same time, which has brought great pressure to the power grid and increased the cost of the operating capacity of fast charging stations. The orderly charging of electric buses (BEBs) can reduce charging costs, but most of the existing studies do not consider the dynamic changes of charging losses and assume that the basic capacity charge of charging stations is fixed. In this paper, an orderly charging strategy for fast charging stations with dynamic efficiency models is proposed, considering the dynamic energy efficiency and basic capacity charge of the charging process. To solve the problem efficiently, the optimization problem proposed in this paper is linearized, and the results show that the cost is reduced by 15.72% and the power efficiency is improved by 2.88% compared with the orderly charging without considering the dynamic energy efficiency and the basic capacity charge.
