Enhanced Homomorphic Encryption Scheme for Cloud Technology Security
The relevance of secure data storage in cloud systems is constantly increasing. Accordingly, the demand for improving the encryption algorithms used for the security of cloud systems is increasing. The main task of the presented article is to analyze the potential of homomorphic encryption algorithms used in cloud technologies. The novelty of the paper is to develop and study two hybrid encryption schemes: AES-RSA and AES-Paillier. To ensure data security in cloud technologies, it is necessary to improve existing encryption methods. Traditional encryption methods often lack sufficient functionality to manipulate data in its encrypted state. Homomorphic encryption provides a data protection algorithm that allows specific computations to be performed on encrypted data without decryption. The objectives of this paper is to analyze the theoretical foundations of AES-RSA and AES-Paillier hybrid encryption algorithms. In the presented AES-RSA hybrid, AES is used to effectively encrypt data while RSA is used to securely manage the key. The AES-Paillier hybrid uses the homomorphic properties of the Paillier cryptosystem, which allows performing appropriate calculations on data stored in cloud technology.
